Back in March I was asked if I could be available to photograph 5 children for the Mo Heart Gallery. Absolutely!! Adoption is something that is near and dear to my heart, so I was thrilled to be asked to be a part of something that could possibly lead to a child finding their forever family. I photographed two single children, a boy and a girl, then three brothers available for adoption individually. The display opened at Crown Center and will be there through May 18. After that it goes to Independence Center, May 18-31, then on across the state until it's final show at the Capitol building in November.
The hope is that when a face is put on some of the many children in Missouri available for adoption it may get people thinking about adoption who may never have before. It doesn't take a lot to foster or adopt. You don't have to be rich or married. You can have other children or not. You just have to love and care for a child that needs you.
If you are at Crown Center this week or Independence Center after that be sure and take a few moments to look through the gallery of beautiful faces just waiting for someone to care for them. If you can't visit the gallery in person, you can view it online at www.moheartgallery.org Be sure and take a special look at Donald, Angela, Patrick, Jeremiah and Mark.
